Bear Creek Corrects Drill Result From Santa Ana Silver Project, Peru

Vancouver, B.C. - Bear Creek Mining (TSX Venture: BCM) Bear Creek issues a correction due to a typographical error in its table of results included in its Santa Ana news release dated 30 August 2006. Drill hole SA-05 should read 40m @ 77.8g/t silver for the interval from 0m to 40m, not 40m @ 11.8 g/t . The Company regrets any confusion that this typographical error may have caused. The corrected table appears in its entirety below.

The TSX Venture Exchange does not accept responsibility for the adequacy or accuracy of this release.
